Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota is a journalist writer, author and anchor of the morning news program on CNN called "New Day." She is a resident of Westport, CT, and was elected to Westport Country Playhouse's Board trustees. Camerota's 30 years of journalistic experience have seen her cover stories across the country and overseas. Furthermore, she was awarded her the Edward R. Murrow Award as well as an Emmy Award. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford has been named as an honorary board member following serving on the board for seven consecutive years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who is currently the chair of the Westport board having served as its chair since 2013, is also a new board member. Czekaj-Farber replaces Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October 15, 2015, and continues to serve on the board from 2006. The Board of Trustees comprises 26 individuals.
