Shailene woodley is a famous American actor and activist. Woodley gained notoriety for her portrayal of Alexandra King in The Descendants. Apart from the well-respected performance during The Descendants, Shailene has performed several roles which showed her ability to play tough characters easily. Shailene was able to get her name in the Hollywood world very early in her career, which alone is an impressive feat. Her career began by appearing in TV commercials and shows however, she quickly moved into Hollywood movie roles. Many awards have been won by her because of her impressive acting. They include MTV Movie Awards as well as People's Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards. She's also received nominations for other highly prestigious awards, such as BAFTA Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Primetime Emmy Awards. Apart from being a successful actress, Shailene Woodley is also an environmentalist and activist. In 2010, she co-founded The All it Takes non-profit organization alongside her mother. The organization was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award as co-founder of All it Takes at the Global Green Environmental Awards' 20th Anniversary in 2016.
