Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actor best well-known for her films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the popular television series The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an actor, producer and actress who works in theater, film and TV. The path to acting started with the theater. Then she appeared on several television shows in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also a number of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. The actress made her professional debut in the role of Ariel In The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage consist of Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. In her film career, she is best known for her appearances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her character as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
